Data Analysis Trainings

Using data to inform instructional practice and shape school culture.

Part of AVID Center's success can be attributed to the use of data in evaluating the effectiveness of the AVID program. We have long understood the necessity of being data-driven as a primary means of delivering the highest quality programs. AVID Center is now offering a two-day course to individuals in the educational community on the interpretation and use of data to inform their program improvement practices. Activities participants will experience include: Using a 5-step process to systematically evaluate program and instructional effectiveness; recognizing program strengths and challenges using AVID data reports; identifying data sources outside AVID Center; and understanding the various types of educational data – Qualitative vs. Quantitative.
