A path to better teaching.

The AVID Path series features a rigorous curriculum that promotes student achievement at the highest levels; it lays out a pathway to student success. Based on the teacher-developed, classroom-proven AVID System, the series offers guides and materials for teachers, administrators, academic counselors, career center advisors, and anyone else who wants to help students fulfill their potential and successfully prepare for college.

AVID Center provides two-day trainings for content teachers in English, mathematics, science, and history/social science, as well as trainings designed for teachers of English language learners, Student Success Path training for teachers of non-core subjects, and Implementation Middle Level/High School training for new AVID Elective Teachers.

Participants will become familiar with AVID methodologies and learn what to anticipate when a school focuses on reorganizing its structures, processes, protocols, and systems to strategically give purpose to efforts to improve performance of all students.

Blended Learning is now available for the Path Implementation Middle Level/High School participants only. For additional information, please read the Welcome to LMS Letter after you receive the registration confirmation email.

Who May Attend

Participants must be from an AVID District to attend an AVID Path Training. Only teachers at AVID school sites may attend the AVID Implementation Middle Level/High School Path strands.

Registration

For MyAVID account holders, login to register via the Event Registration tab.

If you're not a MyAVID account holder, email edtrainings@avidcenter.org. Please provide your name and the name of your district and school site in your email.

Registering TBAs, we will hold a spot for your attendee. Once you have the name, follow the guidelines below.

In the Event Registration link select "Register a TBA". Complete the fields by entering the requested information and selecting a strand appropriate to the role the TBA will fill on the site team.

Substituting Named Participants for TBA Registrations

Please do not enter new registrations for your TBAs. AVID Center will update the registrations - just send us the names and emails to substitute for the TBAs by sending an email to edtrainings@avidcenter.org. You may also request a change of strand for the TBA, if needed, in the same communication.

Late fee of $40 will apply if registering within four weeks from the training start date.

If you are a District Director you may attend a Tutorology strand at a Path Training for FREE.

Payment Options

What payment options do I have when I pay for my registrations?
Methods of payment include:

Credit Card

Once you enter a registration online, paying by credit card will secure your strand immediately. You will receive an email confirmation after payment.

If you prefer not to enter a credit card number online or if you would like to pay for several registrations in one credit card transaction, select the Pay Later option, choose Credit Card from the drop-down menu, and complete the Credit Card Authorization Form and fax it to (800) 524-9917.

Purchase Order

To submit a Purchase Order to initiate the payment process, fax or mail your completed Registration Worksheet/Payment Coversheet with a copy of the PO to AVID Center. Please note that the purchase order number alone or a requisition for a PO does not serve to initiate the payment process. We must receive the actual purchase order or a copy of the purchase order by mail or fax. Send your Purchase Order with completed Payment Worksheet to:
