| 4/11/2013 | 189 AVID Students Accepted into the Dell Scholars Program - Scholarships recognize students’ drive and determination SAN DIEGO – AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students made up almost two thirds of the 300 students in the recently named Dell Scholars Program Class of 2013. More than $6 million in scholarships will be awarded to this year’s Dell Scholars to attend a college of their choice. Nationwide, 189 of the Dell Scholars participated in AVID. |

Each program is composed of 15 four-hour units, usually taught over a three-week period, and is filled with high-engagement, collaborative lessons and solid math or science content connected to national math and science standards.
