Race to the Top – District 2013 Competition
On August 6, 2013 the U.S. Department of Education released the Notice Inviting Applications for the 2013 Race to the Top District (RTTT-D) competition. The RTTT-D program will support locally directed improvements in teaching and learning that improve student achievement and teacher effectiveness. The U.S. Department of Education expects to make 5-10 grants that will range from $4 million to $30 million, depending on the number of students served. Your school district grant writer and postsecondary development department will most likely receive notifications of pending and current funding opportunities.
