Health and Safety

AVID Center prioritizes the health and safety of all employees, guests, and participants. We will continue to monitor the guidance from federal, state, and local public health authorities. Participants will need to complete a COVID Safety Questionnaire before they can print their conference name badge for the conference. This should be done no earlier than 48 hours before the start of the conference. Name badges will be required at all times in the conference space. Conference attendees must follow safety protocols required by the host hotel and local, state, and federal authorities. In addition, as a courtesy to and for the safety of fellow guests and colleagues, all attendees are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings at all times except when eating or drinking, maintain an acceptable social distance from fellow attendees and others, wash hands and use sanitizer frequently, and follow other safety protocols put in place for the event. We request that participants assess their health each day and recommend that you do not attend the conference sessions if you are feeling ill.

If you have started feeling COVID-19 symptoms, please isolate, and complete the COVID-19 Symptoms Reporting Form. An AVID Center Representative will reach out to you to discuss how we may further assist you while here at our event.

For more information, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 page.

How to Turn On/Off COVID-19 Contact Tracing on iPhone

In iOS 13.6.1 and earlier

  1. Head to Settings on your iPhone
  2. Swipe down and tap Privacy
  3. Now choose Health
  4.  Tap COVID-19 Exposure Logging at the top
  5. You’ll need an authorized app before Exposure Notifications can be turned on. But then you can tap the toggle to turn notifications on or off
  6. You can also delete the exposure logs manually at any time at the bottom of the settings

Use the COVID-19 Exposure Notifications System on Your Android Phone

To help understand whether you've been exposed to someone who reports having COVID-19, you can turn on Exposure Notifications. You can turn the notifications off at any time.

To use the system, you need to either download an official app from your region’s government public health authority or, if supported in your region, enable it directly in your device Settings.

  • If you have COVID-19, you may share that info in Exposure Notifications to help alert the people you've been in contact with.
  • If you've been exposed to someone who has shared that they have COVID-19, you may be notified and provided with further instructions.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Support

How do I submit a request for ADA support?
AVID Center complies with federal and state disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. If you require accommodations, please submit your request at least two weeks before your event starts.
