  • Get immersed in STEM this summer!

    Are you looking for a fun, engaging summer STEM experience for your student? Are you a high school student or graduate looking for a great summer gig coaching STEM and changing lives?

    STEM Academy is a 4-day summer experience for students in grades 3–8, offering fantastic fun in our supportive, encouraging, and empowering learning environment. Assisted by 10th–12th graders, STEM Academy will engage students through real-world problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork aligned to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Oh, and you'll get hands-on experience with LEGO® robotics and other cool tech (no prior robotics know-how necessary).

  • Attention all inquisitive 3rd–8th graders

    STEM Academy is engineered for curious students in grades 3–8 (must have completed 3rd grade). Academy participants will attend Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.


    *Student registration for the 4-day academy is $350. Registration covers the cost of instruction, hardware/materials, and lunch for all participants.

    Calling all Student Staff Developers

    For this program to maximize its impact, we need experienced, enthusiastic Student Staff Developers to assist and provide support for our academy leaders. 

    Who should apply?

    Applicants should have the following qualifications:

    • Be entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, or enrolled in postsecondary education
    • Have experience participating in/on a robotics team, robotics or STEM club, in-school STEM program, or comparable experience
    • Direct LEGO MINDSTORMS® EV3 or NXT experience is preferred
    • Minimum of 3.0 cumulative grade point average
    • Two teacher/educator/robotics coach references

    Academy time

    Monday will be a prep day for the facilitator team, with Student Staff Developers participating from noon–4:00 p.m. Academy participants will attend Tuesday–Friday from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Student Staff Developers will be expected to participate in daily setup/breakdown, as required.
