Unit Overview

Ready to GROW as a Powerful Scholar launches AVID Excel scholars into a year of growth by establishing the foundational skills, mindsets, and behaviors essential for language acceleration and academic success. Through community building, language development, and the introduction of key AVID Excel strategies, scholars begin to understand their roles as learners. The unit fosters a classroom culture rooted in collaboration, responsibility, and college and career readiness, while cultivating confidence in communication, goal setting, and scholarly habits.
