Developing Critical Thinking: Computer Science Across Disciplines — Elementary (2024–25)

The Developing Critical Thinking: Computer Science Across Disciplines — Elementary Community of Practice, in collaboration with Amazon Future Engineer, aims to introduce computer science concepts to PreK–6 educators of all subject areas. Participants will learn to use computational thinking, a problem-solving approach that breaks down complex problems into manageable parts to support students’ metacognition and problem-solving skills. This Community of Practice will focus on the thinking processes of computer science applicable to elementary-aged students in all subject areas. All strategies, digital activities, and digital tools experienced in this Community of Practice can be leveraged in face-to-face, blended, or virtual learning environments.
