This showcase will highlight how AVID at Glades Central High School is a foundational force in "Building a Brand and Fostering Student Success." The focus will be on demonstrating how AVID isn't just a class, but a comprehensive system that equips students with the skills, mindset, and resources to define their personal and academic brand. We will showcase how this brand-building leads to a legacy of student success, preparing them not just for college, but for a life of achievement and leadership.

Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.

Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.
Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.

Please park by the gate attendant. Visitors will need ID/Driver's license to complete the check in process. Visitors will be escorted to the media center by AVID Ambassadors.
An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
