Showcase Focus:
Through the Lens of AVID: Aligning Systems with Collective Educator Agency & WICOR Schoolwide.

At Eastmont, all means all. Every teacher uses WICOR strategies in their lessons to help students have a higher level of rigor. With vertical alignment of strategies, our teachers have allowed all of our students to reach their goals. When you visit Eastmont, you will see WICOR strategies school wide. There will be a menu of options for guests to see AVID in action across all subject areas including elective classes like Band, PE, and Art.
Does “All Students” Mean “All Students” at Your School or District?

We invite superintendents, district leadership, principals, and teacher leaders to see how schools are implementing AVID nationwide to:

  • Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.

  • Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.

  • Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.

  • Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.
