The AVID Track to Excellence: At Grassy Pond Elementary, our theme "Racing Toward Excellence- Every Gator, Every Day, Empowering Excellence" drives the work we do through AVID. Visitors will see how AVID strategies build a strong academic foundation for our students as they begin their college and career readiness journey. Guests will observe classrooms where students use organizational strategies and engage in collaborative learning through WICOR strategies. The showcase will highlight how we empower excellence in every student every day, while fostering a culture of high expectations and future success.

Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.
Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.
Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.
Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.

Arrive between 8:30-9:00 AM.
Enter on School Rd. You will turn right and park in the side parking lot. You will follow the sidewalk to the front entrance building.
An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
