Showcase Focus:
Empowering Multilingual Learners through Academic Excellence
At our site, we are deeply committed to creating a learning environment where multilingual learners are empowered to thrive in rigorous academic settings. Our school-wide focus on Academic Language and Literacy ensures that every student develops the skills necessary for success across all content areas. To further support our students, we proudly offer two AVID Excel classes, designed to accelerate language acquisition and academic achievement. Additionally, we implement AVID Emerge as part of our designated English Language Development (ELD) program, providing targeted instruction that bridges language development with college and career readiness.
Does “All Students” Mean “All Students” at Your School or District?
We invite superintendents, district leadership, principals, and teacher leaders to see how schools are implementing AVID nationwide to:
Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.
Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.
Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.
Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.
