With extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within the education nonprofit sector, Maria Darie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to AVID Center as Chief Financial Officer.
Most recently serving as the CFO for Education Trust, Maria has worked closely with former U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr., demonstrating her ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. In addition to developing budgets, monitoring and projecting revenues and expenses, and effectively communicating financial information, Maria’s work at Education Trust also involved the creation of a quasi-endowment, showcasing her strategic financial acumen.
Maria holds an MBA from Georgetown University.
