Showcase Focus:
Sustaining Success: The Power of a Strong AVID Elective and School Culture
Join us for our Wilson High School AVID Showcase for an opportunity to explore the heart of our AVID program—the AVID Elective. Learn how we built a strong foundation that empowers students, supports educators, and sustains a culture rooted in family, purpose, and success. See how we cultivate an AVID Elective team that believes deeply in the mission and works together to create an environment where every student is seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. This showcase highlights our journey in building a strong college-going culture that begins in the AVID classroom and permeates schoolwide, inspiring students to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.
Does “All Students” Mean “All Students” at Your School or District?
We invite superintendents, district leadership, principals, and teacher leaders to see how schools are implementing AVID nationwide to:
Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.
Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.
Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.
Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.
