Showcase Focus:
Discover how WICOR—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—shapes dynamic classrooms where students are active participants in their learning. During this showcase, visitors will observe how educators purposefully design lessons that integrate WICOR strategies to spark curiosity, foster meaningful collaboration, and build critical thinking skills. Through classroom visits and conversations with both staff and students, participants will experience how a shared focus on WICOR creates a vibrant culture of engagement and rigor, preparing every student to take charge of their learning and succeed beyond the classroom.
Does “All Students” Mean “All Students” at Your School or District?

We invite superintendents, district leadership, principals, and teacher leaders to see how schools are implementing AVID nationwide to:

  • Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.

  • Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.

  • Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.

  • Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.
