Showcase Focus:
Bryan Collegiate Early College High School's Schoolwide Systems and WICOR Strategies that Promote College and Career Readiness for ALL students - Bryan Collegiate Early College High School will showcase powerful school-wide systems and instruction that ensure all students are college and career-ready and are empowered to take risks and achieve their dreams. Particular attention will be placed on Schoolwide WICOR strategies, including Socratic Seminar, Philosophical Chairs, Focused Notes, Binders, Planners, and AVID Tutorials. There will be a time for a panel of students and members of our AVID Site Team to answer questions and discuss best practices.

Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.

Parking for visitors is in the Kent Street parking lot near the front door. Students will be out directing participants. Check-in will be at the front entrance. Driver's License and School ID required. BCHS will provide lunch for participants. This will be a box lunch. We do not yet have the details, but participants with food allergies may want to bring their own lunch.
An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
