(10/22/26) 8:00-12:00 MT- Kuna, ID Integrating AVID into PLC's for Focus and Impact
Kuna, ID
Oct 22, 2026 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time
Event Focus:
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) can be a powerful structure for improving the quality of teaching and learning across classrooms, reducing variability from teacher to teacher, and ensuring all students get what they need to be increasingly ready for college and career. When AVID is infused into the PLC process, educators have even more tools to reach those ambitious outcomes. Too often, though, administrative and teacher leaders struggle to integrate AVID into PLCs, resulting in disconnected efforts and perhaps contributing to initiative fatigue. This team-based leadership workshop provides the tools and structure to embed AVID into the PLC process, allowing AVID to enhance teacher collaboration and problemsolving through the co-design of strategic, WICORized instruction. Planning time is included near the end of the experience.
