AVID Elective Level 3 (2026-27)

AVID Elective Level 3: Advancing Agency for Teachers and Students (2026-27)
Starting in June 2026

AVID Elective Level 3 is an advanced Community of Practice for seasoned AVID Elective educators that deepens their impact by refining instructional practices and expanding student agency. Through collaborative exploration of the Weeks at a Glance curriculum, the AVID Elective Standards, and the AVID Foundations of Instruction, participants will elevate WICOR® strategies and foster rigorous, student-centered learning. This course is the next step in the AVID journey for educators who are ready to drive transformational change by focusing on educator leadership and schoolwide AVID integration.

Considerations

This learning experience is for contracted secondary AVID Elective site members who have completed the first- and second-year trainings, AVID Elective Level 1: Implementing the Fundamentals of Instruction and AVID Elective Level 2: Tutorials and Refining Implementation.

3-day professional learning hosted at 10 face-to-face locations across the United States during June and July that provides high-paced, interactive, dynamic professional learning while modeling engaging and rigorous instruction.
Virtual learning

3-day summer virtual professional learning event featuring real-time interaction with facilitators and peers nationwide in both a Community of Practice and a session illustrating ways to extend learning throughout the school year, engage in productive planning, and ignite inspiration campuswide. Plus, time is provided before or after virtual learning for individuals to further reflect or for sites and districts to host their own activities.
