
Mathematics: Cultivating a Discourse-Rich Classroom – Secondary (2025–26)
The Mathematics: Cultivating a Discourse-Rich Classroom – Secondary Community of Practice engages educators as they learn to develop mathematicians by cultivating a discourse-rich mathematics learning environment. Participants will explore the teacher moves necessary to empower students to engage deeply in mathematics, communicate their ideas, and connect their thinking to that of others. Participants can implement the strategies learned in this collaborative experience to create a culture of discourse, utilize a variety of mathematical representations, ask intentional and higher-level questions, and gather evidence of student thinking and learning.
