Shanda Martin is an education leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing large-scale program implementation, leadership development, and partner success across K–12 systems. She serves as Head of Core Products and Services at AVID Center, where she leads strategy and execution for AVID Elementary, AVID Secondary, and AVID Excel.
Before joining AVID Center, Shanda spent more than a decade in public education serving in districtwide leadership roles supporting AVID, Advanced Placement, and Gifted & Talented programs. Her experience also includes school-based leadership as an AVID Site Coordinator, Instructional Accountability Facilitator, Principal Intern, and classroom teacher, giving her deep firsthand insight into instructional practice, accountability systems, and school operations.
Shanda holds a Master of Arts in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with additional licensure in Curriculum and Instruction and Gifted Instruction.
