Designed with Middle School AVID Elective Teachers at the absolute center, this Showcase provides a dedicated environment for elective educators to dive deep into the heart of the AVID Elective classroom. Step into our learning space, observe live tutorial sessions in action, and collaborate directly with fellow middle school AVID teachers to sharpen your instructional practice. What You Will Experience: * Dedicated Focus for Middle School AVID Elective Teachers: Spend high-value collaborative time networking directly with fellow middle school AVID Elective teachers. Together, you will analyze, troubleshoot, and refine the tutorial process—gaining practical strategies to elevate student inquiry, small-group collaboration, and tutorial quality on your campus. * Campus-Wide Experience for All Visitors: Observe how Vista Magnet’s intentional focus on the phases of Focused Note-Taking spans across all content areas. Site administrators and educators will also discover how AVID and International Baccalaureate (IB) co-exist seamlessly on a single campus to elevate academic rigor and fulfill the AVID Mission.

An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
