Showcase Focus:
WICOR in Action: From Strategy to Schoolwide Practice-The showcase will highlight how teachers intentionally embed WICOR—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—into daily instruction across content areas. Visitors will observe classroom practices that promote student engagement, academic discourse, critical thinking, organization, and ownership of learning while exploring how schoolwide systems support consistent AVID implementation.

Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.
Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.
Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.
Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.

Park in either lot. ID required for check-in. Participants will have to walk through screening machine.
An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
