Showcase Focus:
Systems that Sustain Rigor at the Secondary Level
Join us for an inside look at how Windsor Charter Academy turns AVID's framework into everyday practice. Our leadership team will walk through the systems we've built to prepare every leader in AVID's methodology, our school-wide expectations for strong Tier I instruction through WICOR strategies, and the accountability structures that keep learning consistent across all grade levels. We will showcase how the AVID Elective progresses from sixth through twelfth grade, building the skills students need to succeed in AVID Tutorials year after year. Classroom visits will demonstrate intentional WICOR implementation that drives high levels of learning, prioritizes rigor and engagement, and puts students at the center of their own growth.
Does “All Students” Mean “All Students” at Your School or District?
We invite superintendents, district leadership, principals, and teacher leaders to see how schools are implementing AVID nationwide to:
Ensure student success by incorporating WICOR® (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) strategies throughout all classrooms to support increased rigor schoolwide.
Provide ongoing professional learning for staff and site-based coaching.
Build collective educator agency to transform culture in support of all students.
Align the K–12 college and career readiness journey.
