Showcase Focus:
This session will explore how the AVID Critical Reading Process strengthens disciplinary literacy by helping students access and make meaning of complex texts across CTE and core content areas. Participants will experience the process as learners, reflect on its impact, and consider how fostering a culture of literacy equips students with the skills to engage in rigorous, career-connected learning.

An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
