Elevating Rigor Through WICOR - This AVID Showcase highlights our campus-wide commitment to increasing rigor in every classroom through the intentional implementation of AVID WICOR strategies—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. Guided by a shared definition of rigor, our educators are creating learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, engage deeply, and take ownership of their learning. Through the consistent and faithful use of WICOR strategies across all content areas, teachers are raising expectations, fostering meaningful student engagement, and increasing academic achievement for all learners. This showcase celebrates how a unified approach to rigorous instruction is building a culture where every student is empowered to succeed in college, career, and life.

Please park across the street in the visitor parking lot. After parking across the street in the visitors parking lot, visitors will use the crosswalk and enter through the Gymnasium's main entrance. Educators attending the showcase will need to have their District/School ID badge worn above the waste for check in and during the visit.
An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
