AVID in Action - Collective Impact for Student Success: Guests will experience how Sandalwood’s AVID implementation fosters a collective commitment to student success. Visitors will witness the AVID Elective class in action, where students practice skills in organization, inquiry, and leadership that empower them to take ownership of their learning. Throughout the campus, guests will see how a strong college and career-going culture is woven into daily instruction and student interactions. Classroom visits will highlight rigorous, student-centered lessons that emphasize collaboration, critical thinking, and academic discourse—showcasing how AVID strategies are transforming teaching and learning across all content areas.

Please use the East parking lot off John Prom Blvd and enter through the main entrance for check-in. Be sure to bring a valid I.D. to check in at the main entrance bubble, where you will receive a visitor badge. Once checked in, proceed to the "Big" AVID Room.
An AVID Showcase is an in-person event where educators can observe AVID strategies in action, share best practices, and learn hands-on about AVID implementations. The experience includes classroom observations, discussions with experienced AVID teachers, administrators, and students, and access to various AVID resources and tools.
Participants are responsible for travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements to and from the event.
