This module is only open to current AVID Excel members. 

How do we coach educators to move from student data to meaningful instructional decisions in the Excel classroom? In this interactive workshop, instructional leaders and coaches will explore strategies for guiding teachers through the analysis of assessment data to inform diagnostic instructional moves. 



Using sample student profiles and test results, participants will practice facilitating coaching conversations that help teachers identify student strengths, needs, and next steps—particularly around the intentional integration of scaffolds and routines within the DPG. Emphasis will be placed on how coaches can prompt teacher reflection, prioritize instructional focus, and support the translation of data into actionable plans.  Participants will also consider how to support teachers in responding to patterns across an Excel class. 

By the end of this session, participants will leave with concrete coaching moves, questioning strategies, and tools to help teachers effectively leverage data, scaffolds, and DPG lessons to provide targeted instruction aligned to the diverse needs of their Excel scholars
