This year, we are offering an opportunity for site leaders to attend an on-site session before AVID Summer Institute begins to prepare them for this time with their team.
Leading Site Teams Day 0 Meeting
Site leaders (principals and Site Coordinators) play an important role in leading Site Teams. Site Team time at Summer Institute sets the foundation for quality implementation and engagement with the AVID implementation instruments, which support the continuous improvement process at sites. This session is intended for district and site leaders, including principals and Site Coordinators, who are leading Site Team time at Summer Institute or who want to learn more about leading Site Team work.
Leading Site Teams is an optional pre-session open to anyone who is registered for Summer Institute; it does not require any additional registration.
This pre-session is offered at Summer Institute the day before the event (Day 0) from 4:00–5:30 pm.
AVID will also be hosting synchronous virtual Leading Site Team sessions (see schedule below).
Participants interested in attending any of these sessions can register through MyAVID.
Click on the “Event Registration” tab, and then select “Register myself for an event.” In the Event Type drop-down, select “Virtual Educator Events.”
