AVID Excel Elective Level 3: Advancing Learning and Language Routines (2026-27)
The AVID Excel Elective: Advancing Learning and Language Routines Community of Practice engages AVID Excel® teachers, site administrators, and District Directors who previously attended AVID Excel professional learning. This Level 3 course extends the AVID Excel professional learning journey, moving beyond accelerating learning in the 4 domains of language acquisition to support educators in delivering instruction that drives rigorous academic preparedness, opportunity knowledge, and scholar agency. Participants utilize a diagnostic lens to make intentional instructional decisions that help scholars embrace productive struggle and deepen their reflection and metacognition skills. Through this Community of Practice, educators will build their instructional practices to move scholars beyond redesignation and on to college and career readiness.
