Career and Technical Education: Developing Employability Skills (2026–27)
Starting in June 2026

Career and Technical Education Community of Practice empowers CTE educators to integrate AVID strategies that build the employability skills students need to thrive in both the classroom and future careers. This course bridges technical content with proven AVID instructional practices. Through hands-on experiences with WICOR®, the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework, and real-world applications, participants learn to foster student agency, collaboration, and critical thinking. Whether new to AVID or seeking to deepen their practice through collaboration with other CTE educators, participants leave equipped to elevate their students’ future readiness with purpose and passion.
