Foundations of Secondary Student Success (2026–27)
Starting in June 2026
Foundations of Secondary Student Success Community of Practice is designed teachers of courses outside the primary core content areas (i.e., the arts, physical education), world language teachers, special education teachers, librarians, and new or new to AVID instructional coaches. Through immersive, role-specific activities, participants experience WICOR® in action, deepen understanding of the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework, and explore disciplinary literacy tailored to their contexts. This course builds student agency and academic preparedness through relational capacity and blended learning strategies. Participants gain practical tools, collaborative insights, and confidence to elevate impact campus-wide.
