Mathematics: Cultivating a Discourse-Rich Classroom — Elementary inspires elementary math educators to transform their classrooms into vibrant hubs of mathematical thinking and student voice. Participants will explore how to cultivate a discourse-rich environment where students confidently share ideas, justify reasoning, and engage in meaningful problem-solving. Through WICOR® strategies, mathematical language routines, and the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework, educators will learn to elevate student agency and deepen understanding using multiple representations and purposeful questioning.
