AVID Digital Teaching and Learning
Digital Teaching and Learning is the intentional integration of technology and pedagogy to ignite students’ curiosity, strengthen their self-awareness, and cultivate the skills, behaviors, and mindsets necessary to engage responsibly and creatively in a digital world. Through AVID’s blended approach—an intentional balance of face-to-face and digital learning experiences—educators leverage the unique advantages of each environment to create high-quality, efficient instruction that empowers students to solve real-world problems and share their learning with authentic audiences.

Rooted in the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework
AVID’s approach to Digital Teaching and Learning is rooted in the same philosophy that drives the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework: cultivating the academic skills, relational capacity, and educator agency needed for students to thrive in an ever-changing world. Through intentional integration of technology and pedagogy, educators design digital experiences that foster collaboration and promote critical thinking, reflecting AVID’s commitment to rigor and meaningful relationships that help every student become college- and career-ready.
Digital learning at AVID is never technology for technology’s sake; it is purposeful, relational, and aligned with WICOR® (writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading) strategies and The 4 A’s®: Adopt, Adapt, Accelerate, Advocate®. This approach ensures that every digital interaction strengthens students’ readiness for life beyond the classroom.
